Our Team

SHEILA GUSTON, M.A., C.A.E.

President, CEO

Sheila holds a M.A. in Communications from William Paterson University with a concentration in television communications. Sheila is also a Certified Association Executive and has held leadership positions with NYSAE, ASAE and AMCI. She has spent her career in the non-profit sector. She has served as an in-house Executive Director for two large international associations and a state-wide chapter of an national organization. She founded TMS in 2000 to provide management services to associations and other non-profit organizations who elect not to hire their own staff.

With TMS, Sheila has guided numerous clients through the start-up process, through difficult economic times and through growth phases. She is a skilled strategic planner and counsels clients on membership development, board governance, event planning, development of non-dues income and other funding raising efforts, and budgeting and financial management. Sheila has also served on non-profit and association boards.

DEBRA E. GUSTON, M.A., J.D., C.A.E.

COO

Deb earned her B.A. cum laude from Mount Holyoke College, a M.A. from Emerson College and a law degree from Cardozo School of Law. She is a Certified Association Executive and has focused her continuing education efforts in marketing, branding, event planning and governance for non-profit organizations. Deb works with clients in formation and tax-exempt applications; 990 compliance; marketing and re-branding; event planning; contract reviews; strategic planning and grant research and fund raising. Deb is a board member of several significant professional associations and non-profits and is the Managing Director of a NYC-based theatre company.

KRISTIN KUENZEL, B.A.

Account Executive

Kristin holds a B.A. in Communications from Glassboro State College. An experienced account executive, Kristin joined TMS after working in a financial planning firm. She has experience in planning events, seminars and managing customer service. She handles all online marketing, all membership databases, develops e-newsletters for TMS and clients and manages client listservs. Kristin earned her certificate in non-profit management in 2014.

JAMES FAY

IT Manager

Jim is TMS’s internal IT Manager. His responsibilities include all of TMS’s social networking and listservs by combining his research training and technological capabilities. Jim holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Rutgers University and received a paralegal certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Ana Luque-Villalva

Account Executive

An experienced and knowledgeable finance person, Ana has her A.A.S. degree in accounting from Berkeley College. She serves as the Account Executive for one of TMS’s clients who requires in depth knowledge of accounting programs and customer service. She also has her certification in Advanced Excel, Customer Service and Computerized Accounting.

JENNIFER WILKES, B.F.A.

Administrative Assistant

Jennifer has a strong background in customer service and has well-developed computer skills. She is the "voice of TMS" on the phone. A former event coordinator, Jennifer is very familiar with non-profit organizations and has worked in marketing and business coordination.

PATRICIA F. NIXON, RN, NP, CCM

Consultant

Pat is a registered nurse who is also certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Case Manager. Pat has spent her career in management at some of the largest home health care agencies in New York City, including Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Experienced in all aspects of public health, Medicare and Medicaid programs and the needs of adult and senior populations with chronic health issues, Pat consults with TMS to better serve TMS's health care association clients.
